The network is the layer blamed for everything: the software is slow, so “it must be the network”. Sometimes true, often false, and almost never measured. So this family starts by measuring.
A business network is not a home router with more sockets. It separates what has to be separated — till, cameras, guests, administration — because on the day one machine is compromised, that separation decides the extent of the damage.
Wi-Fi is where money disappears fastest. One powerful access point in the middle covers no better than three modest ones placed carefully: it creates noise and collapses when the crowd arrives, which is precisely when it should hold.
IP telephony belongs in this family because it lives on the same cable and suffers the same faults. Choppy voice is almost always a network problem rather than a carrier problem, and treating it separately means treating one problem twice.

No equipment quote without a survey. A catalogue that ignores your walls is not a study.
Configurations are handed over
Saved, documented, passwords included. A network only we can take over is a network badly delivered.

Including where that means there is nothing to buy from us. The diagnosis is billed; the conclusions that suit us are not.
A network that holds in Algeria
The carrier link is the starting constraint, not a variable. Limited upstream, outages and changing addresses govern everything that relies on a remote service: telephony, backup, application access. So we design with the degraded mode in mind and, where it is justified, with a mobile fallback.
Electricity does the rest. Micro-cuts and voltage swings damage network equipment long before workstations, and a UPS on the rack costs less than a switch replaced every year. It is the first line we add to almost every quote.
Finally, Algerian commercial premises are often thick walls and added mezzanines, which makes Wi-Fi coverage impossible to guess from a plan. The on-site survey is not a formality: it is what avoids buying two access points too many or three too few.
Frequently asked questions
Does everything have to be recabled?
Not always. Old but sound cabling can be kept; the trouble usually sits in the rack, the patching and the active equipment. We test the existing links before proposing any work.
Can Wi-Fi replace cable?
For fixed workstations, no — and not for the reasons people assume: cable is steadier, less affected by the neighbours and far cheaper to keep stable under load. Wi-Fi serves mobile devices and visitors.
How many access points are needed?
That gets measured. Walls, mezzanines and the number of simultaneous devices decide, and the gap between a plan estimate and a real survey is regularly a factor of two.
Will IP telephony work on our connection?
Often yes, but it has to be verified: voice tolerates packet loss and jitter very badly, far worse than a download does. We measure before committing you to a switchboard.
Can we keep our numbers?
It depends on your carrier and on the type of line. It is the first thing we check, because the answer often changes the architecture we propose.
Who responds if the network fails at night?
That is settled in the contract. We would rather state a real on-call rota and its price than a permanent availability nobody can honour.
