A phone system that stops losing calls: queueing, transfer, diversion and a log — with quality that depends on your network rather than on luck.

Most businesses lose calls without knowing it. An engaged line, a handset ringing in an empty office, an out-of-hours call that leaves no trace: each one is a customer who tried and will call a competitor.

An internal phone system fixes that with simple mechanisms: a queue instead of an engaged tone, a ring that moves on after a few seconds, an out-of-hours diversion, and a log showing missed calls. That last point is often the most revealing: most businesses discover a volume they never suspected.

Quality, meanwhile, depends entirely on the network. Voice tolerates packet loss and latency badly, far worse than a download does. That is why we deal with traffic priority and separation of uses before discussing telephone equipment.

Voice over IP in the local context

Link quality decides everything. A connection sufficient for browsing may be insufficient for voice, because voice tolerates latency and loss badly while a download absorbs them unnoticed. We measure before proposing, and we plan a fallback to the mobile network where the link is uncertain.

Power cuts are the other constraint. A phone system with no backup power cuts the telephone at the same moment as the electricity, precisely when your customers are trying to find out whether you are open. A UPS on the telephony equipment matters as much as one on the server.

Finally, a significant share of missed calls concern hours when nobody is there. A clear message stating when to call back, rather than an endlessly ringing phone, recovers some of those contacts — and it is the cheapest setting in the whole installation.

Do we have to change our number?

Not necessarily. Keeping it depends on your operator and your line type, and we check that before proposing anything.

Will the quality be good?

It depends on your link and on traffic priority. We measure first, and we tell you plainly if your connection cannot carry voice properly.

What happens during an outage?

We configure an automatic diversion to mobiles. Without it, a power or connection failure cuts the phone at the worst moment.

Do we need special handsets?

Often yes for desk positions, but a mobile app or desktop software is enough for many uses. We choose according to who has to be reachable and where.

Can calls be recorded?

Technically yes. It requires informing callers and deciding who can listen to what, and we deal with both before enabling it.

Does this reduce the phone bill?

Sometimes, depending on your volumes and your operator. We do not present it as the main argument: the real gain is usually the calls you stop losing.
