Print design

Packaging, signage, catalogues and printed materials — designed for the papers, inks and printers you actually have.

Print is the only medium your customer holds in their hand. It is also the only one where a mistake costs a whole run: a badly prepared file, a colour that shifts, an insufficient margin, and the order starts again at your expense.

So we design from concrete constraints rather than from a screen render. Which printer, which stock, which process, which tolerances: those answers change the design, and getting them before drawing avoids most of the unpleasant surprises.

We deliver print-ready files in the formats and with the settings your printer expects — bleed, technical margins, colour profiles. It is invisible work on the design and decisive in the result.

Finally, we design for duration. Signage lasts ten years; packaging is reprinted every quarter. A design that assumes a rare stock or an expensive process degrades on the second run, when the budget tightens — and it is the design that gets abandoned, not the constraint.

What we usually find

  • Your printed colours do not look like what you approved on screen.
  • Your printer sends the files back because they are unusable.
  • Your packaging has been redrawn three times and costs more with every run.
  • Your sign is illegible from the road, and nobody had checked.

What changes

  • Files the printer accepts

Prepared to their real constraints, which removes the rounds of correction and the last-minute delays.

  • A result that matches the approval

Colours and margins are worked out for the chosen process, not for a screen.

  • A controlled reprint cost

A design that holds with common stocks and processes stays affordable on the tenth run as on the first.

What you get

  • Packaging and labels

Designed with cutting, folding and mandatory legal information taken into account from the start.

  • Signage and wayfinding

Legibility checked at the real reading distance, with materials suited to outdoor exposure.

  • Catalogues and documents

Layouts built so you can update them, without redrawing the whole document.

  • Sales materials

Cards, flyers, posters and display stands, consistent with the identity and executable locally.

  • Print-ready files

Bleed, technical margins, profiles and outlined type, to your printer’s requirements.

  • Bilingual where needed

French and Arabic on the same piece, with a layout designed for both rather than adapted afterwards.

How we work

  1. Printing constraints

We talk to your printer before drawing: process, stock, tolerances, available formats.

  2. Design

Layouts accounting for cutting, folding, mandatory information and reading distance.

  3. Approval on a proof

Signed off on a test print when the volume justifies it, not on a screen.

  4. Technical preparation

Files exported to the expected standards and checked before sending.

  5. Following the run

Dealing with the printer through to sign-off, so corrections happen before rather than after.

Is this the right fit for you?

This is for you if

  • You produce printed material regularly: packaging, catalogues, posters.
  • You have a visual identity to apply, or you are creating one alongside.
  • Your current materials give an impression out of step with your offer.

This is not for you if

  • You need one flyer, once. A printer with a template will do.
  • You have neither a logo nor usage rules. Start with visual identity.
  • You want design with no execution constraints. That is illustration, not print.

What we commit to

  • We talk to your printer before drawing

Their real constraints decide the design. Discovering them at the press costs an entire order.

  • The source files belong to you

You can reprint elsewhere, or have someone else modify them, without asking us for anything.

  • Designed to be reprinted

We avoid processes and stocks that make the second run more expensive than the first.

Printing in Algeria

The range of stocks and processes available varies by printer and by period. A design that depends on one specific material becomes a supply problem the day that material is unavailable, and the improvised substitute degrades the result without anyone having decided to.

Execution tolerances call for a forgiving design. A cut precise to the millimetre, text too close to the edge, or a demanding flat colour all become visible defects. Allowing more generous margins costs a few millimetres on the layout and saves entire print runs.

Outdoor exposure is harsh: sun, dust and heat fade and damage faster than elsewhere. Signage is designed with that horizon in mind, which changes the choice of colours and materials — not just the installer’s warranty.

Frequently asked questions

Will you work with our printer?

Yes, and we prefer it. Their real constraints change the design, and knowing them before drawing avoids most of the unpleasant surprises.

Can you manage the printing for us?

We can coordinate and follow the run. The printing itself is invoiced by the printer, with no hidden margin from us.

Why do colours change in print?

Because a screen and an ink do not produce colour the same way. We design for the chosen process, and approve on a proof when the stakes justify it.

Can we edit the documents ourselves?

For simple updates — prices, references, contact details — yes, if we plan for it at design time. Tell us at the start; it changes how the file is built.

Does everything have to be printed in two languages?

Not necessarily. It depends on your customers and on the piece. We will tell you where bilingualism genuinely helps and where it only crowds the layout.

How long before we receive the files?

Drawing is rarely the limiting factor. Final content, mandatory legal information and your printer’s availability weigh more, and we tell you which is holding things up.

How to start

Send us photographs of your current materials, the name of your printer, and the quantities you usually order.

We come back with what can be corrected without redoing everything, what deserves rethinking, and the technical constraints we will have checked with your printer.
