IT equipment purchase
Hardware chosen on what you will be able to replace here, billed at cost plus a stated margin — and you stay free to buy elsewhere.
The criterion that decides an IT purchase in Algeria is almost never the specification sheet. It is availability of parts and replacements: slightly better equipment whose parts nobody sells here will cost you far more on the day it fails.
So we choose from what can be re-bought locally, and we explain the trade-off. Sometimes we recommend the model that is second on paper because it is first on time to restore service, and we tell you why rather than presenting it as the best.
Billing is simple and stated: cost plus a margin you know before ordering. We do not earn more by selling you the most expensive model, which is the condition for our advice being worth anything.
Finally, you stay free to buy elsewhere. We will install it anyway, and we will tell you honestly whether what you found is a good buy — including when we are not the ones selling it.
What we usually find
- You bought hardware whose spare part does not exist here.
- You were sold a model far larger than your use requires.
- You do not know what margin your supplier takes on hardware.
- Your estate is ten different models that all have to be understood.
What changes
Hardware replaceable here
Chosen on local parts availability, which changes the real cost of a failure far more than the brand does.
A price you understand
Cost and margin stated, so the advice is not biased by what earns the most.
A uniform estate
Fewer different models, which simplifies spare parts, maintenance and training.
What you get
Chosen on real use
Sized on what you do, not on what the tier above would make possible.
Parts availability
Checked locally before we recommend, because it is what decides downtime.
A stated margin
Cost plus a margin known in advance, never buried in a package.
Warranties tracked
Dates and terms recorded, so you do not pay for a repair still covered.
Installation and configuration
Hardware arrives ready to use, configured and inventoried, not in its box.
A renewal plan
What will need replacing and when, so the spend is spread rather than absorbed at once.
Is this the right fit for you?
This is for you if
- You need to equip or renew several workstations.
- You want to know what you are paying and why that model.
- You prefer a uniform estate to a collection of bargains.
This is not for you if
- You only want the lowest price. An online reseller will be cheaper, and sometimes that is the right call.
- You want a single one-off machine. Buy it yourself; we will tell you which.
- You want equipment imported to order with no regard for lead time. We will explain the risk.
What we commit to
The margin is stated
You know what we earn. It is what makes it credible when we sometimes recommend the cheaper model.
You can buy elsewhere
We install it anyway, and we tell you honestly whether what you found is a good buy.
Chosen on parts availability
We refuse to recommend equipment whose replacement does not exist here, even when it is better on paper.
What actually decides a purchase here
Replacement lead time dominates the arithmetic. A component in local stock is changed in hours; the same component imported takes weeks out of the business. That often justifies paying more for a common model, and it almost always justifies keeping a spare device rather than relying on a supplier’s speed.
Uniformity of the estate has an underrated value. Ten different models mean ten different parts to find and ten behaviours to know; five identical machines let you keep one spare that serves everybody.
Warranty, finally, is worth only what its local application is worth. An international manufacturer warranty with no representative here is theoretical. We check who actually repairs, where, and in how long, before treating equipment as covered.
Frequently asked questions
Are you more expensive than a reseller?
On the hardware price, often yes, because the margin is stated and installation is included. On total cost over three years, rarely, because the choice accounts for replacement.
Can we buy it ourselves?
Yes, and we will tell you what to buy. We then install with no surcharge for not having sold it.
Does it have to be new?
Not always. Well-chosen refurbished hardware is sometimes the better trade-off, particularly for office machines. We tell you when that is the case.
What lifespan should we expect?
It depends on use and above all on power supply. We give you a renewal plan so the spend is spread rather than absorbed in one block.
Do you handle warranties?
We track the dates and prepare the claims. We also tell you when a warranty is theoretical because nobody applies it locally.
What do we do with the replaced hardware?
Often keep it as a spare, which is the cheapest way to reduce downtime. We tell you what is worth keeping.
How to start
Tell us what you need to equip, for what use, and within what budget.
We come back with two reasoned options, the cost, the margin, and the replacement lead time in case of failure — which is often the deciding criterion.
What we have written on this subject
Buying IT equipment: what decides is not the spec sheet
Two machines with identical specifications are not worth the same here. What decides is the applicable warranty and the number of different models.Twelve machines bought together grow old together
Buying the same hardware twelve times is the right advice. Nobody says what it costs three years later, or how to stagger it.Repair: the decision is about days, not dinars
The one-third rule settles the easy half. The real question is how many days the machine will be gone, and what the person does meanwhile. The machine you do not repair: wiping, reselling, scrapping
A dead machine leaves the building with its disk. What has to come out first, what it is still worth, and why the cupboard costs more than the skip.
