Voyages Ziban: CIB and Edahabia card payment, judged on its failures

The ticket office of an invented coach company in Biskra, and nine ways a card payment can go — well or badly — seen by the customer and by the shop at the same time.

Voyages Ziban

Nine cards, and eight ways a payment goes wrong.

Open the demonstration (opens in a new tab)

The company does not exist and the gateway is simulated. What is real is the list of paths that break, and the fact that a ticket is never issued on the browser’s word.

Voyages Ziban is a coach company that does not exist. We invented it to show what a business selling online can expect from a proper card-payment integration: a booking that holds up when everything goes well, and above all when the payment breaks on the way.

The screenshots below come from the demonstration itself and are retaken automatically after every change. No ticket is sold, no card is charged and no bank is involved: the gateway is a simulation, the cards are pre-filled and nothing you do is collected.

Behind the scenes

Trying it in a few minutes

  1. Pick a seat

Choose a line and a seat in the shopfront, then press the payment button.

  2. Choose which customer you are

Take a card, such as the cut after approval, and watch the shop’s log fill in as the payment moves on.

  3. Go behind the scenes

Tick the documents in the bank file, then read the end of the day to see what your test has left to reconcile.

Frequently asked questions

Is Voyages Ziban a real company?

No. The company, its travellers and its sales are invented, and the bank gateway is simulated. Biskra, Algiers, Constantine and Touggourt are real towns, and the failure paths shown are the ones a real integration meets.

Can I buy a ticket or pay by card?

No. No ticket is sold and no card is charged. The card numbers are pre-filled and cannot be typed, and the demonstration ticket carries a reference that cannot be mistaken for a real one.

Can my business have the same integration?

Yes, built for it: its catalogue, its cancellation rules, its bank file and its reconciliation. We do not resell this demonstration; we integrate payment into your site.

How long does the bank’s approval take?

We give no date for that stage: it depends on the bank and on the quality of the file submitted. The demonstration shows what the bank checks, so that the file goes in complete.

Do I have to drop payment at the desk or on delivery?

No. The demonstration keeps the ticket desk and bank transfer open throughout. The card is added to the other ways of paying; it does not replace them.

How to start

Open the demonstration and try two or three cards, including the cut after approval: it is the case that best shows what an integration has to handle.

If you want to accept cards on your site, write to us: we look together at your activity, your file and what needs preparing before it is submitted.
