Dar Ennakhil: what an answer engine says about a guesthouse

An invented guesthouse in Ghardaïa, described by an answer engine from three different sets of sources, to show what changes an answer and what nobody can guarantee.

Dar Ennakhil

One question, three answers, and only the sources differ.

The engines named in the table write none of the answers shown, and the fourth goes on citing a directory even after the work.

Dar Ennakhil is a guesthouse that does not exist. We invented it to show what answer-engine optimisation changes for a business of this kind: what those engines find about it today, where their description comes from, and what a published fact file gives them to cite.

The screenshots below come from the demonstration itself and are retaken automatically after every change. Nothing in it can be booked or paid for, and no data is collected: the page compares sources, it takes no bookings.

Trying it in a few minutes

  1. Read the table of sources

See on which points the website, the directory and the social page describe different houses.

  2. Ask a prepared question

Pick a question in the language you prefer and compare the three answers as they arrive.

  3. Remove a fact from the file

Untick a price or an opening hour, ask again, and see what the third answer can no longer say.

  4. Press a refusal

Try one of the three refused questions and read why the page does not answer.

Frequently asked questions

Is Dar Ennakhil a real guesthouse?

No. The house, its prices, its sources and its competitor are invented. Ghardaïa and its palm grove are real, and the language model that writes the answers is real: it answers live, and it is not one of the engines named in the table.

Can I book a room?

No. Nothing can be booked, no payment is asked for and no personal data is collected. The demonstration compares what an engine says about a business depending on the sources it finds.

Can you guarantee my business will be cited?

No, and the demonstration says so itself. Nobody controls what these systems choose. We work on what makes a page usable as a source: precise, consistent, published facts.

Can my business have the same work?

Yes, done for it: its real information, the listings that need correcting, its pages rewritten to answer first. We do not resell this demonstration; we work on your sources.

Do I need a new website?

Not necessarily. Often the first job is bringing what already exists into agreement — website, listings, social pages — and publishing the facts that are missing. A first conversation with us is enough to see where to begin.

How to start

Open the demonstration, ask a question and press a refusal: a few minutes is enough to see what changes an answer.

If you want to know what the engines say about your business, write to us: we look together at what is cited today, and why.
