Two of the four modules come back “keep it”. That is half the requests we get on this subject, and it is what the bench exists to say.
Comptoir Isser is a Boumerdès wholesaler that does not exist, and neither do its old software or its data. We invented it to show what a business that has run for twenty years on a program with no publisher can have before replacing everything: a reasoned decision, module by module, and proof that its data can come out.
The screenshots below come from the demonstration itself and are retaken automatically after every change. No real database is read: the records, the discrepancies and the names are made up, and no system stops when you touch the cutover button.

Read the verdict
Go through the grid of four modules and open the two that stay on the old software to read why.
Open a damaged name
In the encoding survey, press see on a recoverable name, then on a lost one, and compare the two answers.
Settle the discrepancies
Replay the extraction, then choose for each discrepancy in the parallel run which system is right.
Try the cutover
Name the missing arbiter, produce the archive and watch the button unlock.
Frequently asked questions
Is Comptoir Isser a real business?
No. The wholesaler, its software, its clients and its figures are invented. Boumerdès and the Isser river are real, and the problems shown are the ones we meet on this kind of project.
Is my data read or sent anywhere?
No. The demonstration connects to no database and receives no file. Everything it shows is made up, and the cutover button stops nothing.
Why does the bench advise keeping two modules?
Because old software that does its job, with no exposure and no lost data, costs less to keep than to replace. Saying so before pricing is part of the work.
Can my business go through the same bench?
Yes, on its own system: its modules, its tables and its real discrepancies. We do not sell this demonstration; we carry out this work on your software.
How to start
Open the demonstration and follow the four acts, from the verdict to the cutover: ten minutes is enough to see how a migration is decided and proved.
If your business depends on software nobody maintains any more, write to us: we look together at what should be migrated, and what is better kept.
