In an emergency, first things first
If a life is at risk — collapse, chest pain, difficulty breathing, loss of consciousness — call the SAMU straight away. For everything else, our emergency department sees you day and night, through its own entrance.

Coming to the clinic’s emergency department
The emergency department has its own entrance on the east side of the building, separate from the consultations reception: no lift, no stairs, no queue to cross.
Follow the “Emergency” signs
From Olive Tree Lane, walk along the right-hand side of the building to the lit porch.
Stop right at the door
A drop-off bay is kept clear day and night; a stretcher and a wheelchair wait inside.
Go to the triage nurse
She sees you at once, listens to what is happening and decides the order of care.
Open day and night
An emergency physician is always on duty, with imaging and the laboratory available at any hour for emergencies.

What happens when you arrive
Welcome and assessment
A nurse takes your vital signs and the reason you came. The most serious situations are seen first, whatever the time of arrival.
The medical examination
The emergency physician examines you, with someone close beside you if you wish.
Tests if needed
Blood tests, an X-ray or a CT scan are done on site, without leaving the department.
What comes next
Home with a written report, a follow-up appointment with a specialist, or admission to the clinic.
What to bring, if you can
- An identity document and your Chifa card
- Your current prescriptions or medicine boxes
- A child’s health record, or the pregnancy record for an expectant mother
- A charged phone and a relative’s number
Indicative prices
- Emergency visit
- DZD 3 500
- Night (8 pm – 8 am) and Friday supplement
- + DZD 1 500
Indicative price. Tests carried out are charged on top. Nobody is turned away from the emergency department over payment: the bill is settled after care.
Not sure it is urgent?
Describe what is happening: the guidance checks the warning signs first, then tells you whether to come now, see a doctor today or book an appointment. It never gives a diagnosis.
Common questions
Should I call before coming?
No. If it is serious, call the SAMU, who send a team. Otherwise, come straight in: the emergency department is open at every hour, with no appointment.
Why is someone who arrived after me seen first?
In an emergency department the order is by seriousness, not by arrival. The triage nurse reassesses everyone who is waiting, regularly.
Can someone come with me?
Yes, one person can stay beside you. A child always has a parent with them.
Is the wait shown guaranteed?
No: it is an estimate worked out just now, for a situation that is not life-threatening. It changes with each arrival, and a life-threatening emergency is always seen at once.
