A flat is rarely renovated at the wave of a wand: dated wiring, a bathroom to redo, mismatched floors, a kitchen that is too small. We look at the whole at the visit, then order the job so each trade comes through once, at the right moment.

For a new AADL flat handed over bare, as for an older flat in central Algiers, the schedule allows for the building’s constraints: the lift, quiet hours, protecting the common parts and truck access for deliveries.

Questions about renovation

Can we live in the flat during the works?

For a full renovation, no: dust and the water and power being off make life there hard. For a staged renovation, we can plan room by room and keep a bathroom working.

Do we need the building’s agreement?

For works inside the flat, telling the managing agent and the neighbours is usually enough. Touching the common parts, the façade or the risers needs agreement before starting.

How long for a three-room flat?

Two to three working weeks for a complete three-room flat, depending on its starting state. Your project’s schedule is worked out after the visit and followed day by day in your space.
