Dental care — Medea
The team
Two dentists and one assistant. You see their work and their day here, not their faces: this practice is fictional, and it shows no invented people.

The two dentists
Both dentists do fillings, extractions and crowns. One of them also handles orthodontics, from the first assessment to taking the braces off.
Each patient sees the same dentist from one session to the next, except for a morning emergency, which is seen by whichever dentist is free.

The assistant
The assistant prepares the room between patients, runs the instruments through the autoclave and records every cycle. She also runs the front desk: appointments, estimates to hand over, invoices.

A day at the practice
The practice opens at 08:30. The day's first autoclave cycle is a test cycle, checked before the first patient.
From 08:30 to 10:00 the slots stay free for the pain of the day. Appointments follow until 12:30, then from 14:00 to 17:00, the last appointment. The practice closes at 17:30, after the last sterilisation cycle.
- 08:30 — opening, autoclave test cycle
- 08:30 to 10:00 — slots kept for same-day emergencies
- 10:00 to 12:30 — appointments
- 14:00 to 17:00 — appointments, the last at 17:00
- 17:30 — last cycle, closing

How they work
Nothing starts without an explanation: what will be done, how many sessions, what it costs. The written estimate comes before the treatment, never after.
If you are nervous, say so. The dentist explains each step before doing it and stops if you raise your hand.

Book an appointment
Held free every morning, Sunday to Thursday. They cannot be booked in advance, which is what keeps them available for the pain of the day.
