Dental care — Medea

Before and after

Three examples of what a scaling, a crown and braces change. Illustrative images: this practice is fictional and these are not its patients.

Illustrative images, fictional practice

A scaling

Tartar at the gum line and tea or coffee stains come off in one session of about thirty minutes. The gums, irritated by the tartar, settle over the following days.

A ceramic crown

A broken tooth, darker than its neighbours, is covered with a crown of the same shade. Two to three sessions, with a temporary crown during the two weeks at the laboratory.

Braces

Crowded teeth are straightened with fixed braces, over eighteen months to three years depending on the case, with a check every six to eight weeks.

What these images do not say

They are illustrations. They show what each treatment aims for, not a guaranteed result: every mouth is different, and the dentist tells you what is possible for yours after examining it.

Book an appointment

Held free every morning, Sunday to Thursday. They cannot be booked in advance, which is what keeps them available for the pain of the day.
