Practical information

Opening hours, how to get an appointment, and what to bring the first time.

Opening hours

  • Sunday to Thursday08:30 – 12:3014:00 – 17:30
  • Saturday09:00 – 12:00
  • FridayClosed

The last appointment of the day is at 17:00.

Emergencies

Emergency slots are the morning ones, between 08:30 and 10:00, Sunday to Thursday. They are kept free for same-day pain and cannot be reserved ahead.

Outside opening hours the practice takes no calls and there is no on-call cover. Pain that stops you sleeping, a swollen cheek or a fever need a hospital emergency department, not a closed practice.

Booking

You can ask the assistant for an appointment at any hour: say which day and which part of the day suit you, and it will offer the free slots.

An appointment cancelled less than two hours ahead counts as kept. Tell us the day before where you can: the slot goes to somebody else.

The first visit

Bring identification and, if you have them, previous X-rays and the prescription for anything you are currently taking. Always say if you are on a blood thinner, if you are pregnant, or if you have a known allergy to an anaesthetic.

For a child, a parent must be present during treatment.

What the practice does not do

There is no out-of-hours cover, and the assistant diagnoses nothing.

Outside opening hours nobody answers at the practice. Pain that keeps you awake, a swollen cheek or a fever needs a hospital emergency department. The assistant gives you times and prices; it does not tell you what you have.
