The practice
A neighbourhood practice with two chairs, open Sunday to Thursday and Saturday morning.

The team
Two dentists and one assistant. Both dentists do restorative work and surgery; orthodontics is followed by one of them only, which is why brace appointments are spaced further apart.

Hygiene and equipment
Instruments are autoclaved after every patient and the cycle is logged. Handpieces are disinfected between treatments. The practice has digital radiography, which lowers the dose compared with film.
Clinical waste is collected separately by a licensed contractor.

Access
The practice is on the first floor and there is a lift. Say so when you book if you use a wheelchair: the surgery at the back is wider and you will be seen there directly.
What the practice does not do
There is no out-of-hours cover, and the assistant diagnoses nothing.
Outside opening hours nobody answers at the practice. Pain that keeps you awake, a swollen cheek or a fever needs a hospital emergency department. The assistant gives you times and prices; it does not tell you what you have.
