FAQ
The answers, before you even need to call.
Type a word — “certificate”, “excess”, “CIB” — and the list narrows as you type.

Buying a policy
How long does a quote take?
About a minute. The quote asks one question per screen and the price is worked out again after every answer, so you see at once what an option or an excess changes.
Can I buy entirely online?
Yes for motor, home, travel, health and life cover: quote, payment and certificate all happen online. Business policies are priced online and signed with an adviser.
Can my price change after the quote?
Not while your answers stay accurate. A saved quote keeps the tariff in force on the day it was made; only a change in what you declared changes it.
When does my cover start?
On the start date you choose, as soon as the first payment is confirmed. The certificate is in your customer space within the minute.
Paying
Which payment methods do you accept?
CIB and Edahabia cards, bank transfer and payment at a branch. Online payment is confirmed immediately.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes: in two, in four or, for some policies, in twelve. The quote shows each plan’s total before you choose.
What happens if an instalment is missed?
You get a reminder, then time to catch up. Without payment the cover can be suspended, so it is better to write to us early to move an instalment.
Does a promo code apply to taxes?
No. The discount comes off the net premium; taxes and stamp duty are worked out afterwards, on the discounted amount.
Claims
How do I make a claim?
Online, at any hour: choose the policy, describe what happened and add your photos. You can also do it at a branch.
Do I need a joint accident report after a car accident?
It is strongly advised: filled in and signed on the spot by both drivers, it speeds everything up. Add a photo of it to your claim.
When will an assessor come?
An assessor is appointed within 48 working hours of the claim. You see their name and the visit date in the claim tracker.
How do I follow my claim?
The tracker shows every stage — claim, assessment, offer, payment — with its date, like a parcel. You are told at each change.
Takaful
What makes takaful different from conventional insurance?
Your contributions go into a participants’ fund kept apart from the company. Hima runs it for a wakala fee known in advance, and any surplus goes back to the participants.
Does takaful cost more?
No. For the same risk the contribution is the same; the difference is where the money goes, not the price.
How is the surplus shared?
At year end, part of the surplus is set aside as a reserve and the rest is shared among the participants, under published rules approved by the compliance board.
Documents
Where do I find my insurance certificate?
In your customer space, any time, as a PDF. It is also sent to you as soon as payment is confirmed.
How can I check a certificate is genuine?
Every document carries a QR code and a reference. The “Verify a certificate” page says whether it is valid, for which policy and until when.
How do I get a claims history to switch insurer?
Ask for it from your customer space or at a branch: it sums up your years of cover and your claims.
This demonstration
Does Hima Assurances exist?
No. It is a fictional company built by Algeria Agency to show what an insurance platform can do. No offer, price or document here commits anyone.
Is my data stored?
Nothing you do in the demonstration is tied to you: no real account, no real payment, nothing sent. The only real form is the one on the Contact page, addressed to Algeria Agency.
Why do the figures change from day to day?
The demonstration data is generated afresh every day and your trials are wiped at reset. The dates follow the day; the customers and policies stay the same.
Can I see behind the scenes?
Yes: the bar at the bottom of the screen lets you in as a customer, an agent, an assessor, a claims handler or management, each with their own screens.
Your question is not here?
Amane, Hima’s assistant, answers at any hour. And an adviser sees you at a branch Sunday to Thursday.
