Reference profile · One traveller aged 30, a 15-day stay, destination: France, visa application.

As takaful the contribution is the same; on the recommended plan, DZD 891 (25%) pays for running the fund and the rest belongs to the participants.

Made-up prices worked out by Hima’s demonstration engine: no real offer, nothing is charged.

What the law says

What a Schengen consulate asks for

No law requires travel insurance to leave Algeria. But a Schengen visa application requires medical travel insurance covering at least €30,000 of medical expenses and repatriation, valid in every Schengen state for the whole stay.

Each consulate words its requirements its own way and may add to them: always check the list of the consulate handling your file. Every Hima plan meets the Schengen minimum, and the certificate shows your dates and your zone.

Elsewhere, insurance is still strongly advised: abroad, a hospital stay is often paid for before treatment.

A general summary: it replaces neither the law itself nor the terms of your contract.

Questions

Your questions, answered.

Will a consulate accept the certificate?

It shows the medical limit, repatriation, the zone and the dates — the points a Schengen consulate checks. In this demonstration, no document has any real value.

What if my visa is refused?

With cancellation cover, and on showing the refusal, the premium is refunded before departure, less the handling fee.

Do children pay the same as adults?

Each traveller is priced by age. From three travellers, the family plan takes 15% off the total.

My stay is longer than three months — is that possible?

Yes, up to 180 days per certificate, especially for studies. Beyond that, a yearly student contract is arranged at a branch.

Am I covered for Omra?

Yes. Omra is priced in the Worldwide zone, since Saudi Arabia is outside the Maghreb and Europe zones. Medical costs and repatriation are in every plan.

What if I need hospital treatment abroad?

Call the assistance line before any large expense: it directs you to a facility and pays the bill directly where it can. Keep every invoice for the rest.
