Questions

The questions people ask at the counter before they book, with the answers the agency actually applies in this demonstration.

Booking and paying

  • How long is a price guaranteed?

Twenty-four hours, from the moment you hold it in the basket. During that time the price does not move, even if the flight or the hotel goes up, and nothing is charged. If the time runs out without a payment, the hold lapses and the price is worked out again.

  • Is the price shown the final price?

Yes, taxes and the agency’s fees included. Anything that can be added is a choice you make, priced before you make it: a checked bag, insurance, a meal plan, a single room.

  • How can I pay?

By CIB or Edahabia card, by BaridiMob, by bank transfer, or at the agency in Algiers, Oran or Constantine.

In this demonstration every payment goes through a simulated gateway: no card is charged and no bank is contacted.

  • Can I pay in instalments?

Yes, in three or four interest-free payments, one a month, provided the last falls at least thirty days before departure. A trip that is too close is therefore paid in one go; the payment screen shows which plans are possible before you choose.

Cancelling or changing

  • Can I cancel a booking?

Within twenty-four hours of payment, cancellation is free and the refund is in full. After that, the product’s own terms apply — a hotel that can be cancelled up to a date, an airfare that cannot be refunded — and they are written on its page before you pay.

  • Can I change a date or a traveller?

Ask the concierge, or your adviser from your account. It depends on what was bought: some fares change free of charge, some for a difference in price, a few not at all. The adviser gives you the exact amount before anything is changed.

  • Do I need travel insurance?

It is not compulsory for every trip, but some visas require it, and it covers what free cancellation does not: an illness before departure, repatriation, medical costs abroad. The agency offers three plans, compared on a single page.

Visas and Omra

  • Does the agency handle the visa?

It checks what the country requires of an Algerian passport, prepares the file with you and follows its progress. The decision always rests with the consulate or the country’s authority, and the rules change without notice: the agency confirms them when the file goes in.

  • When is the best time for Omra?

Omra can be made all year round, except during the Hajj season, when the Saudi authorities suspend Omra visas. Ramadan, and above all its last ten nights, is the most sought-after time: seats go months ahead and the hotels nearest the Haram are then at their dearest. The winter months are calmer and milder.

  • Can a woman travel for Omra without a mahram?

On the agency’s departures, a woman under forty-five travels with a mahram. The Saudi authorities have relaxed their own rules in recent years; your adviser checks which apply when the file is prepared and tells you what to provide.

  • What documents does Omra need?

A passport valid for at least six months after your return, recent passport photographs, and whatever vaccinations the Saudi authorities require on the date you travel — the one against meningitis has been required for a long time.

For the Hajj, places come from the national quota, drawn by lot: the agency helps with the paperwork and does not sell a place.

During the trip

  • How do children and babies travel?

A baby under two travels on an adult’s lap, at a reduced fare on the flight, with a cot at the hotel on request. A child has a seat of their own and, depending on the hotel, a child rate when sharing their parents’ room. Every page says which applies.

  • What baggage is included?

It depends on the fare, shown before you choose: cabin bag only, one checked bag, or two. An extra bag is added while you book, at its price, rather than at the airport.

  • Who do I contact during the trip?

The concierge answers at any hour, from the site or your account, and your adviser takes over during opening hours. On packages and tours, on-the-ground assistance in French and Arabic is included.

This demonstration

  • What does “demonstration” mean here?

Numidia Voyages is a fictional agency. The flights, hotels and prices are invented, payments are simulated and no ticket is issued. Everything you do — a basket, a booking, a visa file — really works, inside a sandbox that belongs to your browser alone.

  • Is my data stored?

No personal data is collected: the travellers, passports and cards are the demonstration account’s, chosen and never typed. What you do is deleted twenty-four hours after your last activity, and the Privacy page sets out the two cookies used.
