On the left, what a customer gets. On the right, what the shop learns. The same query, at the same moment.

Exact-match search
What a catalogue does with no engine: the word, exactly as typed, inside the printed label.
The engine
44 references read of 1 240
The journal of searches that found nothing
This is the first deliverable, before a single line of engine. It reads in half an hour, and only one of its four families is repaired with code.

The engine can repair it
The only group that belongs to the engine. It is also the fastest fix to pay for itself.

Recommendations that know when to stay quiet
On a history that is too thin, “customers also bought” pairs articles at random and presents the randomness as advice. Drag the slider.

What we deliver
The list before the engine
The first deliverable is your journal of searches that found nothing, ordered by volume, with what each group was expecting. It is read before any development, and it often says that part of the work is not ours.
We do not put recommendations live off a few dozen orders, and we do not install an engine on a catalogue whose product records are empty. Filling the records pays better.
